The Detroit community is urged to assist in the search for Lawrence Dowl, a 15-year-old boy reported missing since Tuesday, as the Detroit Police Department intensifies its efforts to locate him. According to ClickOnDetroit, Lawrence did not return to his home located in the 19900 block of Salem after an outing with a friend.
Described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, Dowl was last seen clad in a black jacket, black jogging pants, and black shoes, his absence has plunged a family into the depths of concern and spurred the community into action, and the searching a physical manifestation of our collective hope that he might be returned unharmed. The Detroit Police Department’s 8th Precinct is leading the investigation and is asking anyone with relevant information to come forward by contacting them at (313) 596-5840.
Adding to the call for public assistance, the Detroit Police Department's Missing Persons Unit extended its plea through social media, encouraging shares and tips that could lead to Lawrence's whereabouts. As posted on its official Facebook page, anyone able to provide information is encouraged to reach out directly to the precinct involved or to anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up, which can be followed through the department’s Facebook post.
