The Detroit Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating Chase Hurst, a 13-year-old boy reported missing in Detroit. According to ClickOnDetroit, Chase was last seen leaving his residence in the 16700 block of Bramell last Sunday, August 10. The young boy never returned to his home, sparking concerns for his safety and prompting a call to the public.
On the day of his disappearance, he was seen wearing a white shirt and gray sweatpants. His mother, concerned for her son's whereabouts, informed authorities that Chase can be identified by a large scar on his back and left leg. Walking out the door that day, no one expected it would be the last time they saw Chase as just another resident of the local community.
The search for Chase is ongoing, with the Detroit Police Department’s 8th Precinct taking charge of the investigation. Individuals with any information regarding Chase's location or any potential leads are urged to get in touch with the precinct at 313-596-5840. Alternatively, Crime Stoppers is also receiving tips on Chase's whereabouts at 1-800-Speak Up, allowing for anonymous reporting.
In a concerted effort to widen the search, the Detroit Police Department has also turned to social media, making a direct appeal to the public. "Please help us find missing Chase Hurst. If you have any information, please call the Detroit Police Department’s 8th Precinct at (313) 596-5840," reads a post from the Detroit Police Department's Missing Persons page on Facebook.
