In a Facebook post, the El Paso Police Department stated, "This video is intended to provide our community with context and preliminary information surrounding the events of that day."

Although the investigation remains in its early stages, with the El Paso Police Department's Crimes Against Persons Unit and the Texas Rangers spearheading the criminal probe and the Internal Affairs Division handling the administrative side, the department has reiterated its commitment to an exhaustive and transparent examination of the events. They note, "Conclusions regarding the incident will only be drawn upon completing all investigative efforts, including analysis by independent Agencies," as obtained by the El Paso Police Department.
