The El Paso Police Department is reaching out to the public for assistance in tracking down a dark-colored pickup truck involved in a fatal collision that occurred on Monday morning on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The crash left 52-year-old Oscar Lopez dead, as reported by KVIA. Police are asking anyone with information about the vehicle, which is said to have damage on its right side, to contact authorities.
According to a statement obtained by KFOX-TV, the incident happened around 6 a.m. in the 13100 block of Martin Luther King Drive. A 2017 Ford F-150, attempting to avoid a collision, swerved and lost control, veering into oncoming traffic and colliding with a 2016 Hyundai Elantra and a 2019 Toyota Camry. The crash has been marked as El Paso’s 39th traffic fatality of the year.
In a continuation of the details provided, Oscar Lopez, the man driving the Elantra, was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
