Motorists in St. Bernard Parish should expect traffic delays next week due to scheduled roadwork on Eastbound LA 46 (St. Bernard Hwy). The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced that paving operations will cause lane closures on Monday next week.
The right lane between Norton Ave and Weinberger Rd will be closed from 7:00 AM until noon, weather permitting, for asphalt turn lane work. Following this, the left lane will be closed from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM for median work along the same stretch.
These lane closures are part of ongoing Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development roadway improvements in the region. While no official detour routes have been announced, drivers are advised to plan ahead, monitor traffic updates, and watch for posted signs in the work zone.
