Last week, Lake Havasu City bore witness to a tragic road incident that resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries. As reported by the Lake Havasu City, Lake Havasu City Police Department has been meticulously investigating the cause of the multi-vehicle collision that shook the area near the intersection of State Route 95 at Kiowa Blvd.
According to the Lake Havasu City by local authorities, the accident occurred on the evening of August 16 when a Chevrolet Equinox, for reasons undetermined at this time, crashed into a vehicle that was stopped at the intersection. The force of the collision set off a domino effect, involving four additional vehicles in the ensuing pile-up. Lyle Taylor, the 75-year-old driver of the Equinox and resident of Lake Havasu City, was rushed to the hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
Aside from the loss of Mr. Taylor, the Lake Havasu City Police Department detailed that five individuals were transported to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, as per the Lake Havasu City. The cause of the crash, including any potential contributing factors, is still under investigation. Authorities will release further information as it becomes available.
