Tragedy struck Vacaville yesterday as a man was fatally shot at a local gas station parking lot. The Vacaville Police Department stated on social media that the shooting occurred in the 800 block of Leisure Town Road at roughly 7:40 PM. Officers responded to the scene and found an adult male with a gunshot wound inside the convenience store. Despite attempts to save his life, the victim was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
The Vacaville Police Department's Investigative Services Division is leading the investigation. Preliminary results suggest that the incident was isolated, and there appears to be no ongoing threat to the public. As of the latest update, law enforcement has yet to make any arrests in connection with the shooting. The department has actively sought information from the public to aid in the investigation, according to the Vacaville Police Department.
