Lucas hailing from Indiana, founded Lucas Oil in 1989, a brand that has become a staple in motorsports and reached beyond into partnerships with the Indianapolis Colts, whose stadium bears his company's name, and into a recent deal for the Indiana Pacers’ jersey patch sponsor for the 2025-26 NBA season as reported by WTHR. His venture into television media culminated in the acquisition of MAVTV, a motorsports-focused channel whose programming continues under RACER Media.
