Yolo County Environmental Health will hold a free workshop for temporary food vendors on September 16, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 292 West Beamer Street in Woodland. The workshop is for people who prepare food for festivals, fairs, and farmer’s markets, as reported by the Yolo County.

The workshop will teach vendors about local food safety rules and how to get permits. It will cover booth setup and using Yolo County’s online application system. The City of Woodland Fire Department will also explain fire safety rules for food booths, according to the Yolo County.

"Our aim in hosting this workshop is to inform vendors about important food safety regulations and support them through the permitting process," said Michelle Bilodeau, Environmental Health Program Coordinator for Yolo County. The workshop is open to all food vendors with no registration needed. Vendors can contact Yolo County Environmental Health at (530) 666-8646 or [email protected] for more information.
