The search is on for 79-year-old Eddy Chan, an Asian male with dementia, who vanished last night near I-880 and Alvarado Blvd in Fremont.
According to a social media alert by the Fremont Police Department, Chan was last seen around 10 p.m. wearing a dark vest, blue jeans, and glasses.
MISSING PERSON: Eddy Chan is a 79-year-old Asian male who was last believed to be near I-880 and Alvarado Blvd on 8/27/25 at approximately 10 p.m. Chan is 5’1 and 130 lbs., and was last seen wearing a dark vest, blue jeans and glasses. Chan has dementia.

Authorities are urging the public to actively look for Chan and report any information that could help in locating him. He is described as 5’1" and weighs about 130 lbs. The Fremont Police Department has encouraged anyone who might have seen Chan or has knowledge of his whereabouts to "please call 911 or Fremont Police Department’s non-emergency line at 510-790-6800, option 3."
