On Saturday, August 23, from 9-11 a.m., families and curious minds in Farragut can converge at Mayor Bob Leonard Park for a hands-on morning of truck-loving fun. As described in an announcement from the Town of Farragut, this free community event offers a chance for young ones and the young at heart to get hands-on with the heavy machinery that keeps our town ticking.
This year's lineup, according to the same statement, includes vehicles and equipment from the Farragut Public Works Department, Rural Metro, and Smyrna Ready Mix. The kids (and let's be honest, adults too) will also get to see vehicles from the Knox County Sheriff's Office and First Utility District.
