As communities across the nation prepare to mark another anniversary of the September 11 attacks, Gilbert, Arizona, is set to hold its own memorial ceremony. The local Fire & Rescue and Police Departments are extending an invitation to the public to join them in a night of remembrance for those who lost their lives and honoring the first responders of that tragic day.
The event is scheduled to commence at 6:30 PM on September 11, at the 9/11 Memorial Plaza, located at 50 E. Civic Center Drive. Following, the solemn ceremony, attendees will witness the Tribute in Light. Two beams of light will pierce the night sky, serving as poignant reminders of the fallen Twin Towers. This display will be visible until 10:30 PM. "We appreciate your support in remembering the dedication and sacrifice of our fellow first responders and hope to see you there," the Gilbert Town Hall shared
