
Early yesterday morning, an unnerving scene of gunshots was reported at an Arlington Waffle House by the Shelby County Sheriff's Office. The commotion began around 12:45 a.m. inside the establishment located at the 11000 block of Highway 70, according to information released on Action News 5. An argument between two customer groups escalated to the point where one of the patrons felt compelled to quickly go outside, retrieve a firearm, and discharge multiple shots into the air.
The responding deputies arrived within three minutes and found the restaurant devoid of the involved parties, as everyone had fled the scene by the time of their arrival. A social media post from the Town of Arlington Law Enforcement Services indicated that despite the dangerous situation, there were no reported injuries.
