Acting U.S. Attorney Michael M. Simpson announced that 36-year-old Walter Omar Casco-Lopez, a Honduran national, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, to illegal reentry after removal. According to the Department of Justice, Casco-Lopez had previously been deported to Honduras in October 2011 and was later found in Orleans Parish in November 2019.

The case was investigated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Assistant United States Attorney Spiro G. Latsis is handling the prosecution.
