On July 30, police were called to a home on the 400 block of Glenosa Dr, where they encountered Cristina Martinez, who had reportedly entered the residence unlawfully through a window. The department's social media post cited that Martinez was previously told to leave, but instead, escalated the situation to physical confrontation.
The unnamed victim reported an assault, showing visible injuries to the responding officers. This was following being confronted by Martinez, who had, by witness accounts, already been involved in a verbal dispute with the victim, with a witness calling 911 upon hearing the disturbance, according to the Horizon City Police Department. Charges were filed, and an arrest ensued. Martinez now faces a charge of Assault Causing Bodily Injury – Family Violence, and she was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a bond set at a figure of $3,000.
