The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has updated the case surrounding Tanaka Brown, a Jackson man initially arrested and charged last Friday with Accessory After the Fact to 1st Degree Murder in the ongoing search for murder suspect Austin Drummond. Brown has now also been charged with one count of Tampering with Evidence.
These developments come as authorities continue their investigation into the whereabouts of Drummond, who remains at large. In a Facebook post by the TBI, they announced Brown's additional charge on top of his previous charge. The specifics of how Brown allegedly tampered with evidence have not yet been disclosed to the public.
Meanwhile, Brown's legal representation has not yet provided a public statement regarding the new tampering charge.
