
In observance of Labor Day, the City of Jacksonville will close several government offices and facilities on Monday next week. Closures include City Hall at St. James, the Duval County Courthouse, and administrative offices within the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department according to the City of Jacksonville’s official website.
Essential services such as garbage, recycling, and yard waste collection will operate on normal schedules. Outdoor pools will remain open on their regular Saturday to Monday hours, and the Cecil Aquatics Center will also be open with a daily maintenance break at noon.
Animal Care and Protective Services will be open for pet adoptions from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Labor Day. The Jacksonville Public Library system will be closed on Monday next week and resume normal operations the next day.
Huguenot Memorial Park will operate from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., though temporary closures may occur due to tides, capacity, or safety conditions. Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with earlier access available to campers and pass holders starting at 6 a.m.
The 630-CITY Customer Service Center will be closed on Labor Day, but online service requests will remain available at myjax.custhelp.com.
