Yesterday night in Blackstone, Massachusetts, an extraordinary car collision culminated with a Jeep precariously perched on top of another vehicle. The unusual event took place just before 9:45 p.m. on Main Street, where the Jeep driver, for reasons still unknown, struck another vehicle. The impact was strong enough to send the Jeep airborne and eventually to come to rest upon another vehicle. According to a report by Boston 25 News, this resulted in firefighters from Blackstone, as well as additional support from Woonsocket and North Smithfield, working assiduously to extricate at least one person from the wreckage.
Images shared by the Blackstone Fire Department show the vehicles intertwined, with the Jeep lodged against a tree in a yard. The driver of the Jeep needed to be swiftly taken to a hospital via medical helicopter, a detail confirmed by WCVB. Although no immediate details were available about the cause of the crash, it remains under investigation by local authorities.
