Jefferson Parish commuters may experience delays this week due to scheduled road work. According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), construction will take place on US 90 between Live Oak Blvd and S Kenner Ave from today through Friday. Work is set to begin daily at 6:00 a.m. and conclude by 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.
The planned work will involve alternating partial closures of both left and right lanes along the westbound and eastbound corridors. While traffic will continue to move, drivers should expect delays and allow for additional travel time. As reported by the DOTD, the closures are part of roadway widening operations. Motorists are advised to watch for posted signs and be prepared for changes in traffic patterns.
