Residents in Knoxville and surrounding areas are looking at a shift in weather conditions today. Despite the early tumult, the high is expected to reach a comfortable 85 degrees, with calm winds throughout the day and a 20% chance of precipitation, NWS predicts.
Following the storms, Knoxville's evening forecast hints at calm with partly cloudy skies and temperatures anticipated to dip to a low around 60, calm winds turning northwest near 5 mph, which will set the tone for the following few days featuring sunny highs around 80 and nightly lows in the upper 50s.
In contrast, the National Weather Service issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook alert due to "isolated flooding" concerns persisting from recent heavy rainfall, with specific emphasis on potential incidents through this morning and early afternoon.
The outlook for the remainder of the week is optimistic as "no hazardous weather is expected at this time" past today's isolated flooding threat.
