The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries has partnered with LA Wallet to let certain commercial fishery license holders display their licenses on their smartphones. License types such as Commercial Fisherman, Charter, and Vessel License can now be viewed through the app, as reported by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.

The integration is for individual license holders and only shows non-transferable commercial licenses not linked to a business. Users without recreational licenses must create a Louisiana Outdoors account to connect their licenses. Some users may need to restart or relog into the app to see their credentials, according to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. LA Wallet is available for free on Google Play and the Apple Store. Users can tap the “LDWF Licenses” icon on the app’s homepage to link their accounts and add licenses. Expired licenses will remain visible for 30 days after expiration.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries updated LA Wallet to show permits such as ROLP and Bowfishing permits in the app. Traditional methods like email, physical cards, and protected paper documents are still accepted for proving fishing rights. This update allows users to access multiple permits digitally while keeping other options available.
