After intensive efforts by local authorities, Hogan Archer, the 19-year-old legally blind teen reported missing, was found safe in Henry County last Saturday night. Archer had last been seen at his residence on Patrick Circle in Jenkinsburg prior to his disappearance, which followed an altercation with his family, as FOX 5 Atlanta reported.
Details regarding his condition and the location where he was found have not been disclosed yet. The search for Archer had stretched on for hours, with a FOX 5 crew observing law enforcement still on the hunt as late as 11 p.m. last Saturday, highlighting the urgency given Archer's vulnerability due to his blindness and reported altered mental state. His description at the time of the disappearance included blue pants, a camouflage shirt, a hat, and a backpack, and he was considered unable to take care of himself due to his condition.
The plea for public assistance in locating Archer was echoed by Atlanta News First, which shared the urgent call from Henry and Butts County police for information leading to Archer's whereabouts. Concerned citizens were urged to contact Henry County police with any relevant information or send tips, with a special emphasis on the teen’s inability to fend for himself.
