The Lewisburg Police Department, in conjunction with the FBI, is on the search for a suspect following an armed robbery that took place early Wednesday morning at the Ascend Credit Union on Rock Crusher Road. A guard from a Loomis armored truck was reportedly held up while servicing an ATM, as stated by both the WSMV and FOX 17. The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m.
The suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous, is described as a Black male, standing between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot-2. He was last seen driving away from the scene in a dark colored Toyota Camry model years 2012-2017. The individual was noted to be wearing a black hat, sunglasses, a blue face mask, and a bright colored high visibility vest. This description has been echoed by the WKRN, which also reports the FBI's involvement in the search.
