The Southern Economic Development Council (SEDC) awarded Louisiana Economic Development the Best-in-Show honor for its communications work related to Super Bowl LIX. The award was announced at the SEDC Annual Conference in Oklahoma City, where more than 650 economic development professionals from 17 states gathered, as per the Southern Economic Development Council news release.
The SEDC Communications Awards recognize achievements across about 20 categories, including marketing design and strategic impact. Submissions are judged by site selection consultants and marketing experts based on creativity and measurable effectiveness.
SEDC President Matt Tackett highlighted the importance of strong communication in advancing economic development and attracting investment. Louisiana Economic Development was recognized for effectively promoting the state’s business environment and engaging audiences during the major sporting event.
