A Madisonville man has been taken into custody following a serious child exploitation investigation led by local authorities. The operation, which was spearheaded by the City of Madisonville Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division (CID), culminated in charges related to the possession of illicit material involving minors. According to information released in a social media post from the Madisonville Police Department, Detective Trey Kilby initiated the probe upon receiving a critical tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Following the alarming tip, during the search, Sergeant Kilby and his team executed a warrant at a residence located in Madisonville city limits. In the residence, they uncovered numerous sexually explicit images of minors, resulting in the arrest of Jamie Adam Hughes, born November 25, 1990. The authorities, following the evidence obtained, have since then taken Hughes into custody. He has been indicted on one count of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor involving more than 100 Images, an indictment served by the Monroe County Grand Jury on February 12, 2025.
Hughes was subsequently arrested by the Madisonville Police Department and is currently held at the Monroe County Justice Center. Details note that his bond has been set at a steep $100,000.
