A major traffic accident late Wednesday night has led to the closure of all lanes on FM-76/North Loop East and West in far East El Paso County, as reported by KTSM. The announcement came shortly after 11 p.m. from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), with the addition that the clearing time would remain until further notice.
The El Paso Police were the first to alert the public of the closure and the crash via their traffic account at 11:10 p.m. on Wednesday, and as of yet, have recommended local residents to quickly find alternative routes around the affected area, according to ABC-7. However, officials have made no confirmation regarding potential injuries from the accident.
At around 10 p.m., the Socorro Fire Department also took to social media to warn of the closure at the intersection of North Loop at Liahona, due to what they described as a "serious" vehicle crash, as detailed by KFOX-TV.
