A tragic incident occurred at an Edmond disc golf course yesterday, leading to the untimely death of a 32-year-old man. The man, whose identity remains undisclosed, drowned after entering a pond to retrieve a disc. According to News9, Oklahoma Christian University campus police reported the drowning at a pond near Smiling Hill Boulevard and South Boulevard.
The event unfolded in the late morning hours when the man was playing disc golf and decided to go after a misplaced disc. KOCO, reports that bystanders attempted to rescue the man as emergency services were summoned to the scene. Despite the efforts, the life-saving maneuvers were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police, indicate this incident occurred near the Oklahoma Christian University campus.
