
A fatal shooting in Gwinnett County has left one man dead and another in custody following what authorities describe as a domestic dispute. On a recent Friday night just before 7 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance call on the 3900 block of Lee Rd in unincorporated Snellville. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, a 911 caller reported that a fight had escalated to gunfire.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. First responders attempted to quickly render aid, and the individual was transported to a hospital for treatment. However, he tragically succumbed to his injuries. Police have not yet released the identity of the victim, pending notification of next-of-kin.
The scene of the incident was secured by Gwinnett County Police, where one person was subsequently detained. This individual was taken for questioning by detectives, as noted by FOX 5 Atlanta. The shooting is being actively investigated as a homicide, with details on the motive still unclear at this time.
