Early morning yesterday in the Greater Ville neighborhood of St. Louis, a man was fatally shot after being transported to the hospital. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. in the 2700 block of Marcus Avenue and is under investigation by homicide detectives, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
District 5 officers responded to a call and found the victim lying on the sidewalk. He was taken to a hospital by emergency medical services but later died from his injuries. The victim’s name has not been released, pending notification of family.
