The City of Maricopa’s Planning & Zoning Division is seeking public input on its latest effort to update local zoning regulations, aiming to modernize the code and address existing deficiencies.

According to a public notice issued by the City, these proposed changes aim to amend Section 17 and 18 of the City Code and will go before the Planning & Zoning Commission as well as the City Council for hearings. The notice invites Maricopa residents to provide comments or concerns regarding the proposed updates, which are intended to reflect current development practices. Details about the proposed changes are available in the attached documentation.

To ensure an inclusive process, two public meetings are scheduled to take place in the coming months. Interested parties are encouraged to attend the Planning & Zoning Commission meeting on October 27 at 6:00 p.m., followed by the City Council meeting on December 2 at the same time. Both events will be held in the City Hall Council Chambers, located at 39700 W. Civic Center Plaza in Maricopa, AZ.
