As residents seek ways to keep cool, the night promises only modest respite with "mostly clear" skies and low temperatures lingering around 75 degrees. While the breeze, described as a "South southeast wind around 5 mph," should make evenings marginally more bearable, it's not forecasted to offer much help against the daytime heat. As per the NWS, beginning Monday, there's a slight chance of "showers and thunderstorms after 1pm," providing potential for temporary cooling.
Looking ahead to next week, the likelihood of rainfall remains minimal, with the National Weather Service forecasting a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on Monday, rising slightly to 30 percent on Tuesday and the following days. Daytime high temperatures are expected to decline modestly to 93 degrees by Tuesday before returning to approximately 95 degrees later in the week. By Wednesday night, the overnight low is anticipated to dip slightly to around 74 degrees.
