In an incident that has Memphis police on the lookout, AV Mart at 3818 South Mendenhall Road became the scene of a well-orchestrated shoplifting event. According to the Memphis Police Department, three females entered the establishment on July 10 and brazenly walked away with more than $1,000 worth of food items, secreted in large trash bags.

The report detailed the sequence of events, which began at 11:40 a.m. when the trio entered the store and proceeded to casually order pizza. As the staff busied themselves with preparing the order, the women took the opportunity to hastily fill their bags with various food items. It wasn't until after they had vacated the premises that the theft was discovered. The officers were called to the scene the following evening, on July 11, at about 8:20 p.m., to investigate the shoplifting.

Authorities are now turning to the public in hopes of identifying the suspects involved in the theft. The Memphis Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward. "Anyone with information about this incident should call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH," the department stated.
