
Memphis residents are being asked to keep an eye out for suspects involved in a recent theft at Gordon Elementary School, according to local authorities. The Memphis Police Department reported that on August 11, two individuals were involved in the theft of copper from an air conditioning unit at the school, located at 815 Breedlove Street.
The suspects, described as two Black males, made away with the metal in a white GMC truck, the vehicle's distinctive feature being a black hood paired with a red dealership tag. The escapade took place at around 10:12 a.m. as per the officers responding to the scene. The first suspect was reportedly wearing a gray shirt, a neon work vest, a black and turquoise ball cap, black pants, and red Air Jordan shoes, while his accomplice donned dark shades, a gray t-shirt, black shorts, and white tennis shoes.
Community members with any knowledge about the incident, or those who might spot the described suspect vehicle, are encouraged to come forward. The local Crime Stoppers can be reached at 528-CASH, a number set up for anonymous tips that could help in resolving the case.
