
Memphis authorities are investigating an aggravated assault that occurred on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Walter May Park, located at 6415 Quince Road. According to a report by the Memphis Police Department, two sisters found themselves in a frightening encounter when a verbal argument at the park escalated sharply.
The altercation began just before 11:00 p.m. when the two women became entangled in a dispute with another woman. The situation intensified when an unidentified male, reportedly, stepped in and brandished a handgun. The man, believed to be between 35 and 40 years old, is described as having a slender build, short brown hair, and a beard. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and khaki pants. Officers say the suspect confronted one sister and then pointed the weapon at the head of the other when she intervened.
