Memphis authorities are investigating an aggravated assault that occurred on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Walter May Park, located at 6415 Quince Road. According to a report by the Memphis Police Department, two sisters found themselves in a frightening encounter when a verbal argument at the park escalated sharply.
The altercation began just before 11:00 p.m. when the two women became entangled in a dispute with another woman. The situation intensified when an unidentified male, reportedly, stepped in and brandished a handgun. The man, believed to be between 35 and 40 years old, is described as having a slender build, short brown hair, and a beard. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and khaki pants. Officers say the suspect confronted one sister and then pointed the weapon at the head of the other when she intervened.
The Memphis Police have yet to identify the male suspect in question and are urging anyone with information to come forward. In an effort to aid the investigation, individuals with knowledge of the event or the suspect are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH (2274).
