
Memphis Police are on the lookout for a suspect involved in a bank robbery that occurred on the morning of Wednesday, August 20. The man is believed to have staged an aggressive heist at the Regions Bank located at 1415 Union Avenue. According to the Memphis Police Department website, the suspect entered the bank at approximately 9:30 a.m., wielding what appeared to be part of an AT&T electrical box.
The report details that the suspect approached a bank teller, demanded money, and threatened to shoot if his demands were not met. Escalating the situation further, the perpetrator grabbed a bank employee in the lobby and held the piece of metal against her side as a threat. In a bid to quickly secure his escape, he was given cash and then fled the scene on foot. The Memphis Police Department is actively seeking anyone with information to come forward to help apprehend the suspect swiftly.
As per the description released by the Memphis Police, the suspect is a medium build Black male, around 6 feet tall. During the robbery, he was clad in a white hard hat, a black deadlock wig, goggles, and a surgical mask. His attire also included a long-sleeve blue shirt adorned with white lettering on the back, dark pants, dark boots, and dark gloves. These detailed specifics might just be the key to identifying the individual.
