The incident unfolded after the MSP Alpena Post responded to a distressed call from the teen's parents, who reported their daughter missing and in urgent need of being located, as reported by ClickOnDetroit.

According to the social media post by the MSP Seventh District, the collaborative effort included notifying the Wayne County Airport Police, who were swift in locating the teen onboard an aircraft ready for take-off. She was subsequently removed from the plane and safely returned to her family.
