However, homeowners need to play by a different set of rules. The City stipulates that individual signs must not exceed 4 square feet, with a total signage area not surpassing 12 square feet per residential lot. These posters and placards must be installed with the homeowner’s permission and positioned outside the right of way, which is typically a stretch of 15 feet from the curb or pavement's edge, according to a recent announcement.
