The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) announced it will be shutting down one lane of the southbound I-170 entrance ramp from westbound I-270. Starting Friday at 8 p.m., commuters will need to find alternate routes or allow for extra travel time until the lane reopens on Monday at 6 a.m. MoDOT advises motorists that traffic may be impacted.
The closure will allow maintenance work on a busy stretch of road known for heavy traffic, especially during peak hours. MoDOT says the work is intended to improve safety and traffic flow.
