
A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries following a collision with a truck on La Honda Road, east of Stage Road. The crash, which drew an immediate response from San Mateo County firefighters, occurred under circumstances that authorities are investigating. Emergency medical responders swiftly attended to the injured motorcyclist.
According to the Instagram post shared by CAL FIRE CZU, the motorcyclist, who was suffering from moderate to major injuries, was transported to a landing zone by @amr_social. Set up by the firefighters, the landing zone facilitated the @stanfordlifeflight helicopter's airlift of the patient to a nearby trauma center. While dealing with the accident's aftermath, the rescue apparatus from @lahondafire was also on the scene, providing essential patient care.
Multiple agencies were involved in responding to the incident, including CAL FIRE, San Mateo County Fire, La Honda Fire, and the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office (@smcsheriff). The California Highway Patrol (CHP) also had a significant role in ensuring traffic control and conducting the preliminary investigation to piece together the incident's puzzle.
