Officers said they stopped the vehicle for unsafe driving and failing to maintain its lane. Police stated that the passenger threw bags from the car, which were later recovered and found to contain drugs, as mentioned by the Mt. Juliet Police Department.
A 46-year-old man from Putnam County was arrested during a traffic stop in Mt. Juliet after police discovered he had an active warrant from Smith County. He was charged with multiple drug offenses and driving on a suspended license. A 37-year-old woman from Ohio, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was also arrested and charged with multiple drug-related offenses. Police reported finding a digital scale and various drug paraphernalia, as stated by the Mt. Juliet Police Department.
