A woman identified as Mrs. Smith has been arrested in connection with a series of thefts from Walmart stores across the Mid-South.
According to the Oakland TN Police Department Facebook page, Smith is accused of stealing about $3,900 worth of goods from the Oakland Walmart alone and has multiple felony warrants for Theft of Property in different jurisdictions. Authorities believe she was involved in thefts at several Walmart locations in both Tennessee and Mississippi.
She was taken into custody on Wednesday last week. The Oakland Police Department credited the Bartlett Police Department for locating Smith and the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office for transporting her to the Fayette County Justice Complex.
