On the 6th anniversary of Terrell Ray’s unsolved death, the Murfreesboro Police Department issued a reminder about the ongoing investigation. A social media post from the department states that Ray, 30, was robbed and fatally shot on August 2, 2019, after arriving at his girlfriend’s condominium at the Villager Condos on Middle Tennessee Boulevard. The shooter has not been identified, as reported by the Murfreesboro Police Department.
The case of Ray’s killing has been reclassified as a cold case. Investigators are reviewing details and revisiting leads. They are asking the public to share any information that could help. Detectives referenced an episode of MPD Crime Files, a reenactment show, saying, “Even the smallest detail could make a difference,” as stated by the Murfreesboro Police Department.
According to the Murfreesboro Police Department on their Facebook page, an $11,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the Ray case.
