A Nashville man with a history of robbery convictions is back in the news, this time accused of the armed hold-up of a local vape shop. According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, 45-year-old Anthony Finnie was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery following the June 15 incident at Let's Vape on Nolensville Pike.
Finnie, whose criminal record in the area is well-documented, allegedly demanded cash at gunpoint and made his escape on foot, detectives leveraged evidence and leads that pinpointed Finnie as the suspect following a thorough investigation, and he was apprehended yesterday evening not far from the scene of his purported crime.
The authorities are currently diving deeper into their inquiries as they suspect that Finnie could be linked to additional robberies that have occurred, his history in Davidson and Shelby Counties paint a portrait of a man all too familiar with such allegations, having faced similar charges in both localities. He remains behind bars, held on a substantial $100,000 bond as he awaits his day in court.
More details will emerge as the police release updates on Finnie's case and any additional crimes he may be connected to.
