New Orleans Police have taken a suspect into custody in connection with a second-degree murder case, officials announced. Daniel Spencer, a Black male born on September 4, 1968, was arrested following an investigation into a homicide that transpired last Saturday. The incident occurred in the 1200 block of Lesseps Street.
Investigators, working on the case, identified Spencer as a suspect. As told by the NOPD News, a warrant was obtained for his arrest. Despite the complexity of such cases, Spencer was apprehended on the same day and transported to Central Lockup where he was booked.
Further information regarding the case or the legal proceedings that will follow has yet to be disclosed. The NOPD has encouraged anyone with information related to the case to come forward as the investigation continues.
