
The New Orleans Police Department is actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Monday in the city's Seventh Ward. According to WDSU, a man was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds around 5:30 a.m. on Elysian Fields Avenue, where he was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene. As of now, details on the suspect remain scarce, and law enforcement officials have yet to release further information.
Meanwhile, FOX8Live reported that the police were alerted to the shooting incident early in the morning and responded to the 1700 block of Elysian Fields Ave. The police have yet to release to publicly identify the victim or suspect as the investigation continues to unfold.
In addition to these sources, NOLA.com provided a more precise location for the incident, stating that the shooting happened at the 1600 block of Elysian Fields Avenue. The emergency call was made slightly earlier, around 5:10 a.m., and upon arrival, officers found the male victim had been shot at least once. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward to help solve the case.
