New Orleans Police have issued a call for assistance to the public in locating a suspect implicated in a case of election fraud, which involves not only manipulating official documents but also an alleged breach of a protective order. The individual in question is Katriel Faith Gibson, a Black female, born on September 29, 1976. The New Orleans Police Department provided a description, listing Gibson's height at 5' 2" and her weight at around 140 lbs.
In November 2024, during the elections, Gibson is believed to have given false information on voter registration and election paperwork. According to the New Orleans Police Department, she did this on purpose to be assigned to a polling station where someone who had a protective order against her would be. Despite the legal order meant to keep her away, Gibson allegedly planned everything to get close to that person.
According to the New Orleans Police Department news release, the encounter between Gibson and the protected person did occur. At the polling location, Gibson reportedly approached and made comments to the individual, thus constituting a violation of the standing protective order. This move by Gibson to seemingly exploit the democratic process for a personal vendetta has led New Orleans Police Department to actively pursue her arrest.
As this investigation progresses, officials remain committed to ensuring the integrity of electoral operations and the upholding of law and order. The New Orleans Police Department has not yet released any updates on Gibson's capture or additional details regarding the case's developments.
