New Orleans Police are ramping up their efforts to find a man accused of turning city streets into his personal landfill. The NOPD released a statement yesterday, calling on the community to aid in locating Jerome Morris, the suspect in a recent incident of illegal dumping in the city. Morris, identified as a Black male born on August 9, 1966, was allegedly caught on camera on June 28 this year in the act of littering furniture and various household debris.
The unlawful disposal took place near the intersection of Norman C. Francis Parkway and Calliope Street, with Morris ostensibly using a white 2009 Ford F-150 pickup truck equipped with a trailer to carelessly offload the items. The suspect, reportedly hailing from Metairie, LA, has now become the subject of a public appeal for information that could assist in bringing him to justice. The NOPD News release has included a photograph of Morris and the vehicle in question, urging anyone with knowledge on his whereabouts to come forward.
