Gray Street. A committee of Ward 5 residents will review the applications and help choose someone for City Council approval by October 2025. However, this is only a temporary position—the seat will be up for election in February 2026, according to the City of Norman.
Before anyone can apply, they need to meet two basic requirements: they must have been a registered voter in the City of Norman for at least six months and live within Ward 5. The City Council will review applicants and choose the new member by majority vote, as announced in a recent notice.
