A grave pall was cast over the Westmoor Drive community of Northwest Atlanta last Saturday night when local police responded to a distressing call of a shooting at a residential address. According to the Atlanta Police Department's official release, officers arrived at 996 Westmoor Dr. NW to find a 27-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Just before midnight, first responders rushed to save a young man after a violent incident. Despite being quickly taken to the hospital, he did not survive his injuries. The Atlanta Police Homicide Unit has opened an investigation into the case.
Detectives are reviewing evidence and interviewing witnesses, but details remain limited. The victim’s name is being withheld until family members are notified.
