The NYPD is on the lookout for two males connected with a robbery that took place on a Bronx-bound "6" train last week. The incident, reported by the NYPD Crimestoppers Facebook page, occurred on July 29, when a 15-year-old boy was assaulted and robbed of his cell phone aboard the train.
Around 5:40 PM, as the train neared the Morrison Avenue-Soundview station, the young victim encountered his assailants. The NYPD describes the attack; one of the individuals delivered a punch to the face of the teenager, while his accomplice forcibly took the victim's cell phone. The suspects promptly fled the scene, leaving the victim amidst the cold indifference of a city that too often turns the blind eye to the plights of its young.
The authorities are urging anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to come forward.
